THE BLAME
This collaborative project responds to media outlets that are influenced by corporate interests in fossil fuels, which downplay the severity of climate change. These media narratives often prioritise short-term economic benefits over long-term environmental sustainability, creating a distorted view of the crisis that has become widely accepted by the public. The film aims to address this issue by holding politicians and oil corporations accountable for their significant role in exacerbating the climate crisis. It seeks to raise awareness among local communities about the misleading information they have been given and to foster more accurate conversations about climate change.
The film was screened at βOne to Another,β an activist music event in Sheffield organised by Jessica Robinson. Our goal was to engage younger audiences in activism, encouraging them to question and confront the misinformation they encounter and to take an active role in advocating for a sustainable future.
